About the Artist

Sarah Sanders is an artist based in Manchester. Sarah studied her Masters in fine art at MMU (2007) and her practice is based in drawing and action. Focusing on process Sarah attempts to capture moments in passing. Sarah’s works have been exhibited and performed locally and internationally.

A a quick note from Sarah…
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to run a new programme of life drawing classes for the Whitworth. I have had lots of experience organising and running life drawing classes in Manchester, working with male and female models and different groups. The class has had a little make over but continues to take place on the first Saturday of each month, which is great for the people who miss the Saturday afternoon slot! The class will take a new direction using new models and different approaches, looking towards the Whitworth’s collection and exhibitions for inspiration. I will be on hand to give guidance, presentations and demonstrations to keep you enticed. These will be informal and friendly classes, beginners and more experienced artists are welcome. Looking forward to meeting you and getting started.
