Raw Social

(These events have now finished)

The Whitworth as we know it is closing on September 1st to be extended and transformed. We re-open in Summer 2014.

To find more details about the coming changes follow our Capital Development blog.

Ongoing live information can also be found on facebook and twitter.

The We Face Forward website: shows the massive scope of this project across different venues in Manchester and provides details on how to get more information on all of the events. Over the Olympic summer, we celebrated the global and the local, exploring the links between Manchester and West Africa as part of the London 2012 cultural festival. Every Saturday for the duration of the exhibition, the Raw Social hosted informal artist talks, curator tours, debates, film screenings and music inspired by the Senegalese Raw Material Company.

I’d love to see what they debate about when it comes to these films. That would be very cool.
